Last month, sub-Q put out the call for a new editor.
Now, we’re excited to announce that position has been filled by Natalia Theodoridou, a UK-based author whose work has appeared in our virtual pages not once, not twice, but three times.
Natalia may be new to the position, but she’s certainly not new to interactive fiction, as her publications with us prove. Stories we’ve published by her are 2015’s “Sleepless”, which was shortlisted for 2017’s if:book UK New Media Writing Prize,a 2016’s “The Tunnel”, and one of our most recent games, “All Those Parties We Didn’t Cry At.”
In addition to the stories she’s published with us, Natalia has had publications in Clarkesworld, Daily Science Fiction, Podcastle, Shimmer, and many other places, and is currently working on a full-length piece of IF for Choice of Games. She is a Cultural and Media Studies scholar, and a full-time writer, as well as the dramaturge for Adrift Performance Makers, with whom she creates site-specific digital performances, combining interactive fiction with theatre and role-playing.
Natalia will bring a wealth of experience to sub-Q, and we’re looking forward to working with her going forward. Please join us in giving her a hearty welcome to the team!
